China has the largest gas power project portfolio in Asia. As of 2021, some 91 gigawatts worth of gas power capacity was in the proposal stage or already under construction. This was followed by Vietnam, which could see around 56 gigawatts of gas power capacity added to the power grid. China and Vietnam also headed a list of planned investment for gas infrastructure in Asia by type and country.
