Fish and shellfish consumption frequency in Japan 2021
According to a survey conducted in October 2021, the majority of Japanese consumers ate seafood at least once per week. The largest share of respondents, almost 43 percent, consumed marine products like fish and shellfish two to three times per week, while around five percent would eat them daily.
