In July 2024, the Producer Price Index increased by around 2.2 percent from the same month of the previous year. The Producer Price Index (PPI) program measures the average change over time in the selling prices received by domestic producers for their output. Final demand goods and services are those sold for personal consumption. The prices included in the PPI are from the first commercial transaction for many products and some services.
