Construction companies in Spain had somewhat positive employment expectations in 2022 and 2023. In contrast, the biggest confidence drop occurred in 2020, when the index reached -18. Expectations have been rather volatile in the past few years, growing from -31.9 in 2016 to 10.7 in 2018, only to fall again to -2 in 2019.
