As of January 2021, music and humor were the most popular genres of podcasts in Mexico, each mentioned by 57 percent of internet users surveyed in the country. News and technology followed, cited by 36 and 33 percent of respondents, respectively. It was estimated that, in 2022, there were over 31 million podcast listeners in Mexico.
