Africa's pesticide use for agriculture stood at nearly 108 thousand metric tons in 2019, slightly up from 107 thousand metric tons in the previous year. The use of pesticides on the continent has overall increased since 2000, when around 64 thousand metric tons were applied in agricultural activities.
