Several countries worldwide are planning to extend their gas pipeline network. The longest pipeline will be the Xinjiang-Guangdong-Zhejiang network, which will amount to 8,972 kilometers in length. The Chinese pipeline is expected to be operational in 2026. This is followed by the West African Gas Extension, with a length of 5,660 kilometers. The African pipeline network, which will start in Ghana and end in Morocco, is set to be completed in 2028.
