In 2023, ING Group, a Dutch financial institution, emerged as the top issuer of green bonds among major European banks. The company's green bond issuances totaled approximately 13.6 billion euros, encompassing 16 green bonds issued since 2018. Following closely, Crédit Agricole secured the second position, having issued four green bonds and five green covered bonds with a combined nominal value of 8.9 billion euros.
