As of January 2022, the official Oculus Quest app store was counting approximately 340 apps for its virtual reality headsets. By comparison, the Oculus App Lab platform counted approximately 840 apps as of the beginning of 2022. The App Lab was launched in February 2021 by Meta and it allows developers to put their headset-compatible apps on the market via direct links and ease the submission and approval process for VR apps.
