According to a survey conducted on global warming issues in Japan in January 2021, over 35 percent of the Japanese respondents aged 17 to 19 years stated that they did not think that it is possible for Japan to become carbon neutral by 2050. A smaller share of respondents answered that they thought the goal was feasible.
