As of 2022, Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana were Africa's leading cocoa exporters. These countries exported cocoa with a value of nearly 4.8 billion U.S. dollars and 1.8 billion U.S. dollars, respectively, ranking them first and third in the world. Other large exporters on the continent were Cameroon and Nigeria.
