Value of exports from Israel to the EU 2019-2022

In 2022, exports from Israel to the European Union (EU) reached a value of nearly 18 billion U.S. dollars. This was a significant increase compared to the previous year. The European Union is the main trade partner of Israel. In 2000, the parties signed a new trade agreement. In addition, Israel imports the most from the EU, and in 2022, imports from the European Union (EU) into Israel  accumulated a value of almost 34.3 billion U.S. dollars.

The Netherlands and Germany are important trade partners

  The Netherlands and Germany are Israel's most important trade partners within the EU. In general, Israel maintains close relations in various aspects with these two countries. In 2022, Israel exported the most to the Netherlands. Exports from Israel to the Netherlands reached a value of nearly 2.44 billion U.S. dollars that year. As for imports, Israel imported the most goods from Germany. In 2022, the import value from Germany to Israel amounted to nearly 7.1 billion U.S. dollars.

Strong tourism ties as well

  There is extensive tourism between Israel and the EU. In 2013, Israel signed the ”Open Skies” agreement with the EU. As a result, new airlines started operating in Israeli airports. Tourists arrive in Israel from all EU countries, especially France and Germany. In 2021, the number of visitors from France in Israel amounted to 41,500, while the number of German tourists reached 16,500.
