Anaemia prevalence among women of reproductive age in Spain 2012-2019
From 2012 to 2019, anaemia prevalence among women of reproductive age showed an increasing trend in Spain. In 2019, about 13.4 percent of Spanish women aged 15 to 49 years had anaemia, close to 1.4 percentage points more than in 2012, when the recorded prevalence was around 12 percent. According to the World Health Organization classification (WHO), Spain presented mild prevalence of anaemia among this group of women.
