According to a survey conducted in Japan in December 2021, more than two percent of female respondents used short-form video sharing apps, such as Instagram Reels or Karasta, in order to listen to music. The share was slightly lower in the case of men. Short-form video sharing apps in this instance did not include TikTok, which was treated as as a separate category in the survey.
