Anaemia prevalence among women of reproductive age in Haiti 2012-2019
The prevalence of anaemia among women of reproductive age in Haiti remained relatively stable from 2012 to 2019. During that period, almost half of the female population aged 15 to 49 suffered from anaemia, reaching a prevalence of 47.7 percent by the last year depicted. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), a ratio of over 40 percent indicates a severe prevalence of the blood disorder in a given country. Anaemia is an indicator of malnutrition and poor health.
