According to a survey conducted in May 2021 in Russia, more than one half of the survey participants responded that the costs for food product from domestic manufacturers were much lower compared to those brought from abroad. Furthermore, 47 percent of respondents did no see any price differences.
Do you think the prices of domestic food products, compared to the imported ones, are higher, the same or lower?
The survey was conducted in no fewer than 80 regions, 500 cities and urban-type settlements, and 100 villages.
The original survey question was worded as follows: "Как Вы думаете, отечественные продукты питания по сравнению с импортными чаще всего более высокого качества, такого же качества или более низкого
качества?"
Respondents could choose only one answer.
