According to a survey conducted in May 2021, about 70 percent of Russians aged 60 and older would rather support domestic manufacturers. The largest share of those who preferred products imported from abroad was registered among the youngest age group, at 35 percent.

The survey was conducted in no fewer than 80 regions, 500 cities and urban-type settlements, and 100 villages.
The original survey question was worded as follows: "Скажите, пожалуйста, при равной цене Вы бы купили отечественный или импортный продукт?"
