According to a survey conducted in Japan in December 2020, about three quarter of respondents aged between 12 to 19 years old used YouTube as a method to listen to music. YouTube was used by the majority of people across all age groups included in the survey. The survey showed that YouTube was the most commonly used method of listening to music among people in Japan.
