According to a survey conducted in July 2021, over 52 percent of female respondents in Japan aged 50 to 54 years stated that they perceived typical menopausal symptoms within the past three years. An overall share of about 40 percent of surveyed women aged between 40 and 59 years experienced symptoms of menopause in the last three years.
