As of June 30, 2021, Chile had a total of 18 issuers of green, social, and sustainable (GSS) bonds. The highest number of issuers was for green bonds, around 9. Within the green bond market, transport was the most funded sector in the country. On the other hand, the lowest number of issuers were for sustainability projects, only 3. Green, social, and sustainable (GSS) bonds are fixed-income instruments which finance projects that have a positive impact on environmental and social sustainability.
