As of June 30, 2021, Brazil had a total of 53 issuers of green, social and sustainable (GSS) bonds. From these, the highest number of issuers was for green bonds, around 44. Brazil's sustainable debt market also showed considerable growth over the last seven years. Green, social, and sustainable (GSS) bonds are fixed-income instruments which finance projects that have a positive impact on environmental and social sustainability.
