Metaverse vs. other immersive digital environments according to U.S. gamers 2021
A November 2021 survey of gamers in the United States found that over half of respondents felt that in contrast to video games or other immersive entertainments, the metaverse was going enable users to share digital experiences while creating a sense of physical reality/space for all participants. A further 49 percent of respondents thought that the metaverse was also going to enable users to take exclusively virtual experiences into the real world and add augmented reality (AR) layer to it.
