The median size of multi-region venture capital (VC) deals closed in Africa between 2014 and 2020 corresponded to around 6.2 million U.S. dollars, the highest on the continent. To follow, East Africa had the second-highest median value of VC deals in Africa, amounting to 2.1 million U.S. dollars. Within the same period, multi-region VC deals accounted for almost half of the total VC deals' value on the African continent.
