Multi-region deals accounted for almost 50 percent of the total value of venture capital (VC) deals closed in Africa between 2014 and 2020. East Africa and West Africa attracted the second- and third-highest VC value on the continent within the same period, as they made up 18 percent and 17 percent of the total value, respectively. In terms of deals' volume, Southern Africa accounted for the highest number of deals.
