Southern Africa accounted for 24 percent of the total volume of venture capital (VC) deals closed in Africa between 2014 and 2020. The region presented the highest share of deals on the continent, followed by East Africa (22 percent) and West Africa (21 percent). However, multi-region VC deals accounted for the highest deals' value within the same period.
