As the new Wi-Fi standard Wi-Fi 6 becomes more widely accepted, more new devices operating on that standard are expected to enter the market. In 2021, Wi-Fi 5 compatible devices held 57 percent of the new devices market, while Wi-Fi 6 compatible devices occupied 43 percent of the market. This share is set to rise to 58 percent in 2022.
