According to a survey conducted in September 2020 in India, more than 75 percent of the respondents stated that they would consider car-as-a-service when they plan to get a private car in the upcoming 12 month. On the contrary, only two percent of the respondents stated that they didn't understand what car-as-a-service was.

Original survey question: 'If you still plan to get a private car within the next 12 months, would you consider a "car-as-a-service" model?'
The term Caas was defined in the survey as a flexible model where customers 'subscribe' to a car using a monthly fee instead of owning it, usually for a period of 24-36 months. The service is all-inclusive - customers do not have to pay for or manage insurance, maintenance and other services, sometimes even fuel.
