A November 2021 survey of game developers in the United States found that for 50 percent of respondents, technology services such as those used in the entertainment industry were a crucial component for a viable metaverse. Only ten percent of respondents stated that NFTs (non-fungible tokens) and crypto currencies were an important component of a workable metaverse.
