About one in four German online retailers optimized packaging to achieve higher sustainability, making it the top priority, a survey from 2021 revealed. While another ten percent of surveyed retailers opted for recyclable or reusable packaging, 20 percent of respondents believed that packaging had to fit the item perfectly.
