As of 2016, approximately 79 percent of male population aged between 15 and 49 years in India were willing to care for a relative with HID/AIDS in their own home, compared to 74.6 percent of their female counterparts. A larger share of male adults were also willing to purchase from a shopkeeper or a vendor with HIV/AIDS.
