A November 2021 survey found that 43 percent of worldwide internet users in the Gen X and Boomer generations got their meal inspiration from recipe websites or apps, compared with 38 percent of Gen Z and Millennials. Overall, 44 percent of Gen Z and Millennials found meal inspiration from family recipes, the most popular source of food inspiration for these age groups. Additionally, 15 percent of respondents aged between 16 and 38 years got their cooking ideas from online tutorials and were also less likely to make use of blogs and vlogs.
