Potassium chloride was by far the potash fertilizer with the highest global consumption in 2022, with more than 19.6 million metric tons of potassium oxide (K₂O) consumed. Complex NPK fertilizers ranked second, with a consumption of roughly 12.3 million metric tons of K₂O.
