Downloads of official COVID-19 Green Pass apps in Italy 2022

During the first quarter of 2022, the mobile app Immuni was downloaded 2.28 million times by users in Italy. Immuni was launched in June 2020 as a contact tracing app, but with the introduction of the so-called "Green Pass" certification in August 2021, the app has also been serving to display proof of vaccination against COVID-19, official test results, and proof of recovery from the disease. By comparison, the mobile app IO was downloaded around 1.26 million times during the last measured quarter.
