In 2022, approximately three-quarters of consumers in China said they were likely to avoid products that contain a lot of packaging within the next year, in order to limit their impact on the climate. In contrast, only about half of surveyed consumers in the United States had similar intentions. Globally, just under 60 percent of consumers stated they intended to refrain from buying products with excess packaging.
