Between 2015 and 2019, fossil fuel production and marketing accounted for 59 percent of the total state and local own-source revenue. North Dakota followed, at 31 percent. Wyoming's annual average government fossil fuel revenue amounted to roughly 4.3 billion U.S. dollars during these years.
