According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in November 2023, consumers from older age groups tended to spend more money than consumers from younger age groups while holiday shopping. The same survey revealed that the most popular items among Indian holiday shoppers in that year were consumer electronics, and apparel and footwear.
