According to an online survey carried out amidst the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, around 11.6 percent of Spanish employees between 16 and 34 years old who would regularly go to work in person continued to do so despite having COVID-19 symptoms. The global average stayed at 7.2 percent. Furthermore, there was an increase on the same year on the share of employees working mostly from home in Spain, totaling 25.2 percent.
