Between 2015 and 2019, fossil fuels afforded the Texan government an annual average revenue of nearly 14.6 billion U.S. dollars. California ranked second with a revenue of 7.8 billon U.S. dollars. During this period, the U.S. made an annual average revenue of 136.9 billion U.S. dollars through the production and marketing of fossil fuel products.
