According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in Taiwan in November 2023 on consumer holiday shopping behavior, around 51 percent of respondents below 35 years old answered that they had spent or planned on spending more money on holiday shopping compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, about 61 percent of those above 54 years said the same.

2,417 respondents aged between 16 and 24 years, 3,246 respondents aged between 25 and 34 years, 2,671 respondents aged between 35 and 44 years, 1,526 respondents aged between 45 and 54 years, 651 respondents aged 55 years and above.
