In spring 2020, it was estimated that 53 percent of adults in Europe aged between 18 and 34 years were at risk for depression, and by spring 2021 this share had increased to 64 percent. Across all age groups, compared to spring 2020, there was a significant rise in the share of people who were at risk of depression in spring 2021.
