Nearly one half of Russians frequented mini-markets for purchasing food in 2021, according to the survey. Hypermarkets were the next most popular location to buy food products in Russia, visited by roughly one quarter of the respondents.

Methodology: a multistage and stratified sample of Russian population by gender, age, and the type of population center – representing eight federal districts, 46 regions, and more than 200 population centers.
