As of January 2021, 20 percent of the United States population had watched a live streamed video game on a service such as Twitch, YouTube Live, Facebook Live or Mixer. This is an increase of five percent on the previous two years. The total number of respondents who had played a video game on such live streaming platforms was 10 percent, which is up by one percent from 2020 and three percent since 2019.
