According to a survey from 2022, the leading niche sector in which over 65 percent of the surveyed Asia-Pacific real estate investors would be active in or planned to be active in in 2023 was data centers. Life sciences was a new popular niche sector among real estate investors.

For 2022 survey results: 101 individuals were personally interviewed, and survey responses were received from 233 individuals. 93.7% of the survey respondents were from Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, India, and Indonesia.
