A survey conducted in July 2023 about main and minor reasons for choosing free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) services found that the top reasons were interesting shows and movies, as well as free access, according to over 80 percent percent of viewers surveyed. Further three in four people stated to use FAST platforms because of on-demand movies and TV shows, with 42 percent saying that this was a major reason.
