Mobile banking in West Africa has allowed the population to reach financial inclusion. In Benin, over 74 percent of the adult population owned a mobile banking account in 2018. Moreover, around 70 percent of adults in Togo and Cote d'Ivoire, respectively, possessed an account with a mobile banking service provider as of the same year.
