Household out-of-pocket health spending in Jamaica 2010-2021
In 2021, household out-of-pocket health expenditure reached around 138 million U.S. dollars in Jamaica, up from 135 million U.S. dollars reported a year earlier. The figure showed an overall downward trend throughout the analyzed decade, decreasing by nearly 16 percent compared to 2010, when household out-of-pocket health spending amounted to around 164 million U.S. dollars. During the last year depicted, current health expenditure represented 6.6 percent of Jamaica's GDP.
