In 2022, travel and tourism contributed 5.7 percent to employment in Ghana. In 2020, the total contribution of the industry reached 4.2 percent of the country's total employment. Over the period examined, the share fluctuated but generally decreased. It was forecast to remain at 5.7 percent in 2023.
