Wide-profile automotive product stores accounted for half of the online sales value from the second half of 2020 to the first half of 2021 in Russia. The second-largest sales share was reported by e-stores specializing in tire and wheel retail over the given period.
Breakdown of automotive product online sales in Russia from 2nd half 2020 to 1st half 2021, by type of store
The study included online stores specialized in retail of car parts, tires and wheels, motorcycles, automotive accessories, tuning goods and car electronics.
Online sales of Russian retailers in the national territory were considered, excluding online export sales. In the study online stores of automotive products and the largest universal marketplaces (with annual online sales of at least 100 billion rubles a year) were taken into consideration. For the latter, only sales in the category of automotive products were counted.
Statistics are provided for 81 automotive product stores among the top-1,000 largest Russian online stores, including two largest universal marketplaces - Wildberries and Ozon.
