Online automotive products sales in Russia saw a nearly 35-percent growth between the second half of 2020 and the first half of 2021 relative to the previous equivalent period. Online orders increased by more than 50 percent, while the average receipt value dropped by 12 percent over the given timeframe.

The study included online stores specialized in retail of car parts, tires and wheels, motorcycles, automotive accessories, tuning goods and car electronics.
Online sales of Russian retailers in the national territory were considered, excluding online export sales. In the study online stores of automotive products and the largest universal marketplaces (with annual online sales of at least 100 billion rubles a year) were taken into consideration. For the latter, only sales in the category of automotive products were counted.
Statistics are provided for 81 automotive product stores among the top-1,000 largest Russian online stores, including two largest universal marketplaces - Wildberries and Ozon.
