Number of new boat operator license holders approved in Japan FY 2016-2022
In the fiscal year 2022, around 60.67 thousand examinees in Japan successfully passed their boat operator license test, decreasing from 74.58 thousand in the preceding fiscal year. The increase during the previous two years was presumably due to the many people cultivating their recreational boating hobby amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
